In the morning we were taken to the Pompidou Centre for a guided tour. After lunch "Chez Françoise" at Les Invalides, we were shown around the National Assembly building.
The Twinning Lunch
A splendid outdoor buffet in the Parc de Bellecourt was followed by the Chairmen's speeches and presentation by Ashby of the Noticeboard and sliver platter: The Ashby Plaque" and by local Member of Parliament Mme. Marianne DuBois of a bronze medalion marking the 50th Anniversary visit to the National Assembly to each association.
"It's a Knockout" - VICTORY
After lunch, speeches and presentations we played the return match of "Jeux sans Frontiers". This year the English team was very serious and won the superb new cup presented by local Loiret Depute Marianne DuBois.
The Monday Visits
We saw the fabulous Château de Guèdelon under construction, had luch by the lake and ended the day with refreshments at the picturesque town of Briare sur Loire.
